  1. The results will be completely up to your choices and the skill of the surgeon. Provided you follow proper post op care, and no complications arise. (they are low).

The first few days will be somewhat painful.

Expect swelling for the first 3-6 weeks. With increased sensitivity during this 1-1.5month period. Generally after such the effect of the augmentation will not effect your day to day living much. After several months you should be able to tell what the ‘final’ result will look like fairly accurately as the swelling has reduced, etc.

There are thousands of resources on the web regarding this information, so I would encourage you do a little reading on the subject, and you can even ask the surgeons office for referals to talk with a patient about their experience. First hand experience really helps connect the dots.

    Best of luck,

  2. Breast Augmentation – Increasing The Breast Size
Introduction: BREAST AUGMENTATION is a cosmetic surgery to increase the size of small breasts. In young women breasts may remain small due to underdevelopment of glands for genetic reasons. In grown up women, breasts lose their volume due to multiple pregnancies and repeated lactation. With advancing age also the breasts become small and start sagging. BREAST AUGMENTATION is a major surgery designed to increase the breast size to desired size. This surgery is done under General anaesthesia.

Breast augmentation is done by putting silicone implants under the breast. There are different types of breast implants in use nowadays.

    1. Silicone gel filled
    2. Saline filled
    3. Shape implants like ‘pear shaped’

The surface of silicone implants can be smooth or textured (rough)

Silicone implants are placed either under the breast or under the pectoral muscle (preferred position). Both placements have their particular indications which are discussed during a consultation at the clinic.
